The 26th annual colloquium of the Finnish Society for Environmental Social Sciences (YHYS) is organized in Helsinki 25.11.–26.11.2021 and hosted by Aalto University. The colloquium includes high-level keynote speeches, workshop sessions and a panel discussion, as well as the Yrjö Haila Master’s thesis award and the annual meeting of YHYS. The 25th annual colloquium of the Finnish Society for Environmental Social Sciences (YHYS) on Measuring and valuing sustainability will be organized by LUT University, Department of Sustainability Science.
The 24th YHYS colloquium will be held at the University of Jyväskylä, on 21-22 November 2019, with the title ”Wisdom in crisis”.
The 23th annual colloquium of the Finnish Society for Environmental Social Sciences (YHYS) will be held at the University of Lapland, Rovaniemi. The theme of the colloquium is Naturecultures.
Thematic working groups:
(1) Holding private sector and the state accountable: Learning for transformational change within and beyond the forestry sector.
The purpose of the YHYS 2016 research colloquium, ‘Public or Private Sustainability?’, is to bring together researchers from different disciplines to discuss the causes and implications of the expansion and diversification of governmental and non-governmental norms for environmental governance.
Syksyn 2015 YHYS-kollokvio järjestettiin teemalla kokeilevan ympäristöpolitiikan luominen (Creating experiment-driven environmental policy).
