Syyskollokvio
Syyskollokvio
Syyskollokvio 2025
Vuoden 2025 31. Yhys ry:n syyskollokvio teemalla ”Applied, Alongside, Against: Participatory, transdisciplinary, and critical approaches to environmental knowledge and action”
järjestetään Oulun yliopistossa 24.-26.11.
YHYS Fall Colloquium
The annual fall colloquium is a cornerstone of YHYS activities as it brings together researchers from various disciplines to discuss environmental social science questions. The fall colloquium takes academic debate forward by inviting internationally merited researchers to talk from different perspectives on the changing themes. Presentations in numerous thematic workshops address more specific topics. The workshops offer an opportunity also for junior researchers to develop their academic skills. In connection to the colloquium, a get-together is organized for PhD researchers addressing issues related to research careers.
The first colloquium was organized in Tampere in October 1995 and since then, it has been organized every autumn. The colloquium is organized in turns between universities and research institutes carrying out research in the broad field of environmental social science. This allows for different perspectives in the discussions stemming from various fields of research. Over the years, the colloquium has been organized in Tampere, Turku, Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Rovaniemi, Lahti, Oulu and Lappeenranta.
Fall Colloquium 2025
The 31st YHYS fall colloquium will be hosted by University of Oulu with the theme ”Applied, Alongside, Against: Participatory, transdisciplinary, and critical approaches to environmental knowledge and action”
on 24.-26.11.
